Strengthening Your Wellbeing: Mental Health & Counselling Services
Compassionate Care with 20 Years of Social Work Expertise
Life can throw unexpected challenges our way, and sometimes we all need a little support to navigate them. At Link Into Life, we provide counselling and mental health support for people facing a wide range of life challenges. Some challenges may feel deeply entrenched and long-standing, while others may arise from a particular moment or change in life. No matter the circumstance, having the opportunity to talk things through can be a powerful first step, sometimes it’s all that’s needed to help you find your footing and move forward.

While many of us focus on maintaining our physical health, mental health is just as important. Practicing good mental health care, building resilience, and nurturing emotional wellbeing are essential to living a balanced and fulfilling life.
Access mental health support through a GP Medicare referral or via Open Arms. Alternatively, services are available through private health funds.

If you’re unsure where to begin or would like to talk through your options, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We would be honoured to support you on your journey toward wellbeing.
Mental Health Support
We support people coping with a wide range of life challenges. Sometimes these challenges are deeply entrenched, other times they are short-term. Simply talking things through can often be enough to help you get back on track. While many focus on physical health, practising good mental health hygiene and building emotional resilience is just as important.

We currently offer services through face-to-face appointments, telehealth, and phone sessions, allowing flexibility to suit your needs and circumstances. Costs may vary, with options available for private payment, Medicare, or NDIS-funded supports. Your GP may be able to provide a Mental Health Care Plan, and eligible clients, including pensioners, Health Care Card holders, and Department of Veterans’ Affairs clients, may be able to access bulk-billed services.
Anxiety
Did you know anxiety is a normal human emotion? At times, however, it can begin to take over our lives, leaving us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and unable to quiet racing thoughts. Learning to recognise what’s happening and developing practical coping strategies can help you regain a sense of control and move forward with confidence.
Depression
Are you feeling low or as though life has lost its meaning? Understanding the underlying causes and developing healthier patterns of thinking and behaviour can help you reconnect with purpose and see new possibilities, empowering you to move forward again.
Self Esteem Issues
Do you find that low self-esteem quietly affects many areas of your life, from relationships and work to planning for the future? It can develop for many reasons, but by exploring your thought patterns, recognising your strengths, and practising mindfulness, you can gradually rebuild confidence and restore your self-belief.
Grief and Loss
Did you know that grief can feel overwhelming, affecting your thoughts, emotions, and ability to focus on daily life? Experiencing loss is a natural and important part of life, and allowing yourself to grieve is essential to healing. Learning practical coping strategies can help guide you through this journey and gradually regain a sense of balance.
Anger
Anger is a normal emotion, but it can become harmful when it takes over or impacts others. Often, it’s just the surface of deeper feelings such as anxiety, powerlessness, or worry. Learning evidence-based anger management strategies can help you understand your triggers and develop healthier ways to cope with this emotion.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)/Trauma
PTSD and trauma can hold us back from living a fulfilling life. By understanding your triggers, building resilience, and learning new strategies through Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), you can begin to break free from the impact of past experiences and move forward with greater confidence.
Counselling Support
Counselling provides education, support, and strategies to help you cope with life’s challenges. It’s a valuable tool that can be used whenever needed. Our approach combines coaching with a strength-based focus, recognising that you already have many strengths and capacities — sometimes all you need is short-term guidance to help you move forward.

Parenting Adolescence
Parenting adolescents can be incredibly rewarding, but it often comes with stress, heartache, and challenges, and that’s completely normal. As children grow, it can be difficult to balance supporting them while allowing independence. Developing strategies and skills to navigate this stage can be made easier with some outside support.
Self-identity
Self-identity can sometimes feel lost or diminished. While this is common in adolescence, it can also happen during periods of unemployment, unhealthy relationships, or times when life feels uncertain and lacking purpose.
Cognitive Decline
Cognitive decline, whether due to ageing, a medical condition, or other factors, can be stressful. Learning strategies to manage the anxiety it may bring can help you continue to enjoy life and maintain a sense of well-being.
Faith Based Counselling
Sometimes you just need to connect with someone who understands a faith-based background. Whether you are dealing with church abuse, a crisis of faith, or other sensitive issues, our support is non-judgmental and focused on walking alongside you as you move toward healing and freedom.
Life Coaching
Life coaching can help when you feel stuck and unsure of your next steps. We act as your coach and mentor, working with you to overcome barriers and reach your goals and potential. We are passionate about collaborating with you to create meaningful change.
Stress and Self Care
Did you know that strengths like being dependable, compassionate, and reliable can sometimes make it harder to care for yourself? Constantly putting others first can lead to stress and burnout. Learning strategies to manage this and setting healthy boundaries can help you maintain balance — staying true to yourself while practising good self-care.
Workplace Stress
Work takes up a large part of our lives and shapes a lot of our identity, but toxicity or unhealthy behaviours can leave us feeling drained and emotionally affected. Learning strategies to manage workplace stress and conflict can help you build confidence and develop the skills to navigate challenging environments more effectively.
